Empowerment Walk and 2011
Lots of Fun
 

Our 8th annual Empowerment Walk was held May 14, 2011, at Huntington Beach Central Park.  It was a fun day for all who attended.  Lots of grads participated and refreshed friendships. Rayna Davis talked about the Healing Odyssey organization and Carol Halesworth, HO 42 grad, spoke about what the Healing Odyssey experience meant to her.  Bill Beacham did his usual inspirational talk and Donna Farris did the warm-up.  Face painter Shana Schmoller entertained the children and adults, and David VanDorn conducted a drumming session as walkers went by.
 
Thanks to all the committee members, volunteers and donors who made this a successful fundraiser.  A special thanks to the student volunteers from Westminster High School.
 
We raised over $15,000 to help continue our retreats and scholarship program.
